CONDITIONS OF ENROLMENT

1. Registration

To register online please complete the placement test when you already have some knowledge of German and then fill in the registration form.

2. Payment

Together with your enrolment we need your on-account payment of 50% of the course fee. The balance is due 2 weeks before the course starts at the latest.

The full amount is due upon booking when:
- your booking is made later than 2 weeks before the course starts
- you book accommodation
- you book a discount offer
If the payment is not complete on the first day of the course we have to charge an additional amount of € 20. The participant has no right to attend the course until the payment is complete.

All payment have to be made by bank transfer.
Always use IBAN and BIC with transfers from EU-countries. This saves bank charges and speeds up the transfer.
Payments must be made "free of charge for recipient".
After receipt of your payment we will send the booking confirmation and the address of your accommodation.

Visa:
The booking confirmation is to be presented when applying for a visa and takes the place of the "invitation". No "invitations" are issued by Alpha Sprachinstitut Austria.
On request we send this confirmation by e-mail or by fax to the Austrian Embassy where you apply for the visa.
If you wish to receive the booking confirmation by courier, please arrange for a courier to pick up the document at the office of Alpha Sprachinstitut Austria (open hours Monday - Thursday 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Friday 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.)

3. Cancellation

Only written cancellations are accepted. The cancellation fees are:
50% of the total fee.
7 weekdays or less prior to the starting date, as well as when the participant does not appear or after the beginning of the course no refunds are given. This also applies to long-term bookings.
Cancellation deadlines always refer to the beginning of the booking period.
Students who do not obtain a visa, will be refunded the complete amount paid minus € 100,- administration fee plus bank charges when we receive a copy of the consulate's written refusal at least 30 weekdays before the course begins.
If accommodation is booked, only the fee for the academic program is refunded, the fee for accommodation cannot be refunded.

4. Information according to the Austrian Consumer Protection Act

There is the possibility to cancel a booking for up to 7 weekdays from the booking date. However, if the booking is made in fewer then 7 weekdays before the start of the course, the right to cancel is to waived.

5. Change of classes

A change of course is only possible within the first 3 days. The office will manage the change of the course after having consulted your teacher. A fee of € 40 is charged for any other change.

6. Course level assignment, course goal

The final course assignment performs Alpha at the beginning of the course. Regular course-visit, active cooperation, producing of written tasks are prerequisites for the attainment of the course-goal. (Established in the course-description)
Should the participant not meet these prerequisites, or cannot follow the course, Alpha performs the change to a lower course level after consultation with the teacher. An ascent to the next course level is possible only after successful conclusion of the preceded course.

7. Prerequisites for the course-visit:

Minimum age of the participant is 16.
The course-participant must master the Latin writing in word and writing.

8. Cancellation by Alpha Sprachinstitut Austria

If a participant disturbs the instruction through his behavior or disregards the participation-conditions Alpha has the right to cancel without notice. The participant has no claim on refunding of fees.

9. General Information

Books are not included in the course fees. Group courses do not contain VAT.
Students have to arrange insurance for themselves, also cancellation insurance is recommended.
We accept no responsibility for the loss of property.
Minimum number of participants: 6. With less than 6 persons the course can be cancelled or shortened.
There are no classes on official holidays.
Alpha Sprachinstitut Austria does not accept any responsibility for inaccuracies arising from printing or translation errors.
Place of jurisdiction is Vienna.
